Guest guide billing, cancellation and plan changes

Check guest guide hosting, cancel annual renewal and manage property limits. Learn what happens to published guides during the read-only grace period.

Choose hosting for your guest guides

A hosting subscription pays for the guide software and online access, rather than accommodation or guest payments. This article explains where to manage your plan and which guide actions depend on active hosting.

Start free, then choose hosting

You can prepare one property draft and use the owner preview for free. An annual hosting plan is required to publish a guest guide or create a PDF. The property limit includes drafts, so an unpublished property still counts toward your allowance. See Pricing for the current annual plans.

Check your plan in Billing

Open Manage subscription from My properties to see your current plan, hosting status and paid-through date. A plan activates after payment is verified. Returning from checkout does not confirm a successful payment; check the status here and use Refresh status if needed.

Cancel renewal or change plans

Choose Manage subscription on the billing page to open Stripe. You can update payment details, cancel annual renewal or change plans there. Cancelling renewal normally keeps hosting active through the paid term and does not automatically issue a refund. An upgrade may create an immediate prorated charge, which Stripe shows before you confirm.

Choose a property before switching to the smaller plan

A downgrade takes effect at the end of the current period. In Billing, select the property you want to keep hosted and save your choice. Saving that choice alone does not change your subscription. The other guides stay in your account. If the account is over its new limit and no valid choice has been saved, all guest guides pause after the seven-day downgrade grace period; the service does not choose one for you.

When your paid term ends

Existing published guides remain readable during a seven-day read-only grace period. New publishing and PDF exports are paused. After that period, guest access also pauses. You can still view and edit existing drafts, but adding or copying properties requires active hosting. Expiry does not automatically delete saved guides.

Keep the copies you need

Before ending hosting or deleting an account, download the data and files you need. Existing owner PDF downloads remain available while your account and files exist, but creating a new PDF requires an active plan. Files already saved on a device are separate copies.
