Preparing your guide

Import a PDF, DOCX or text house manual

Import house notes from text, DOCX or a selectable-text PDF. Check file limits, review extracted passages and assign them to your guest guide sections.

Bring readable house notes into the editor

The importer extracts text for you to review and organize. It does not recreate a document’s design, import its images or verify its facts. Use this guide to choose a supported source and check the result before publishing.

Choose text the importer can read

Open Import notes in the editor. Paste your notes or upload UTF-8 TXT, DOCX or a PDF with selectable text. The importer extracts text; it does not recreate page layouts, images or decorative elements. Scanned and password-protected PDFs need a readable, unlocked text copy.

Check the file limits

Uploads can be up to 10 MiB (about 10.5 MB), and PDFs can have up to 20 pages. Complex files may still exceed processing limits. Split a long manual into smaller files or paste the relevant text.

Review the extracted passages

  1. Choose Extract & review.
  2. Compare the extracted text with your original and read any warnings.
  3. Select each passage you want to keep and choose its destination section.
  4. Confirm that you have removed information that should not be shared.
  5. Choose Add selected notes to draft, then edit and preview the result.

Section suggestions are based on headings in your notes. They do not verify the instructions or reliably detect private information. Check every selected passage yourself.

Keep originals separate from the guest guide

Uploaded originals and import review records stay private. Only text you add to the draft can appear in the guest guide after publishing. Remove actual entry codes, guest records and identity documents before uploading or pasting.

Importing in a browser draft or demo

Without an account, you can review pasted text and TXT files locally. DOCX and PDF uploads require sign-in. Browser-draft imports remain in this browser and do not create an account guide.
